Eriksson Fine Art

Gunnel Eriksson Clarke was born in Leksand, Sweden and lived in Sweden, France, and Tanzania for more than 25 years. She moved to New York City and Florida in the late 1980s and for the past 20 years has lived in Stowe, Vermont, New York City, and West Palm Beach, Florida. Her work has afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world.

Gunnel founded Eriksson Fine Art in the spring of 2010 to serve collectors of 19th and early 20th century fine paintings as well as period and contemporary prints, sculptures and photographs.

With offices in Stowe, Vermont and Boston, Massachusetts, Gunnel brings to the venture more than 20 years of knowledge and experience in acquiring, selling, and brokering 19th and 20th century fine art as well as consulting extensively to museums, individual and corporate collectors, architects, and interior decorators.

Prior to founding Eriksson Fine Art, Gunnel was Principal Partner of Clarke Galleries, which she co-founded in 1989. She helped establish and manage the company’s galleries in Stowe,Vermont, New York City, and West Palm Beach, Florida until January 2010. The vast network of artists, sculptors, photographers, and clients she developed in that role and the trust she established with them provides substantial value to a wide range of collectors and galleries.

Gunnel is widely respected for the commitment to excellence she brings to her work in order to make the art collector’s experience both rewarding and enjoyable. Whether it is locating that one special piece, consulting to those building a collection, or the more mundane but important services of auction advice, conservation, framing, and storage she works diligently to insure the highest standards of customer service.

Gunnel welcomes the opportunity to bring that same professionalism to serving your fine art needs.
